Quest Inventory Build
Base Equipment
Carry hybrid combat gear covering melee, ranged, and magic for puzzle and combat segments. Minimum expectation: barrows or better armour, whip or scythe melee, bow or crossbow ranged, ancient or standard spellbook magic with required runes.
Include a teleport item to Castle Drakan region, dramen or lunar staff if fairy ring access required mid-quest, and quest-specific keys or tools as obtained during walkthrough stages. See walkthrough hub for stage-specific additions.
Food and Potions
Bring mix of high healing food and prayer potions. Grandmaster length expects extended combat without convenient bank access. Sixteen to twenty food slots plus eight to twelve prayer doses is a common baseline before final fight trimming.
Include super combat, ranging, and magic potions if inventory permits. Boost potions for skill checks save backtracking during Crafting, Fletching, and Hunter segments gated by quest requirements.
Antipoison or antivenom if quest areas include poison mechanics. Energy potions or stamina if extensive running is required in Castle Drakan halls.
Inventory Management Tips
Bank between major quest stages whenever the walkthrough permits. Drop or store duplicate quest items that clutter slots. Use rune pouches and divine rune pouches to compress rune storage.
Before Wyrd and Lord Drakan segments, transition toward specialized presets documented in Drakan fight build. Remove skilling tools no longer needed.
Ironmen should pre-craft quest items listed on requirements pages to avoid mid-quest production delays.
Pre-Quest Inventory Checklist
Confirm rune pouch contents cover teleports, high-level combat spells, and any utility spells referenced in walkthrough stages. Verify charged items: ring of dueling alternatives, dramen staff, avas device, imbued heart if boosting.
Pre-place quest gear in dedicated bank tab labeled BMR. Include vampyrebane weapons, antipoison, stamina potions, and quest-specific consumables noted in Castle Drakan segments. Duplicate common runes in bank tab two to recover from death quickly.
Before Wyrd segment, trim skilling tools and duplicate jewellery. Before Drakan, transition to fight preset documented separately. Never enter finale with unorganized mixed tabs copied from general slayer presets.
Quest Item Slots
Late quest stages consume five to ten inventory slots with untradeable quest objects. Plan food and prayer counts after placing quest items in fixed slots that walkthrough order references.
Some quest consumables respawn at checkpoints after death. Learn which items respawn to avoid over-carrying duplicates that waste space on subsequent attempts.
Keep one emergency teleport if walkthrough confirms escape without failing instance. Not all Grandmaster finales allow teleport out; verify before relying on escape items.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many inventory slots for quest items?
Expect five to ten dedicated quest item slots during late stages. Final fight preset may free some slots as quest objects are consumed.
Do I need rune pouch?
Strongly recommended for any account using multiple combat styles. Saves significant space for food and teleports.
Best food for Grandmaster length?
Anglerfish or equivalent high-heal food. Consistent healing per slot beats low-heal stackables.
Should I bring alchemy runes?
Only if walkthrough notes alch requirements for specific steps. Otherwise skip to save space.
