Stymphike Hunter

Stymphike hunting is a two-stage Hunter method in Vampyrium. First, capture Letvek with box traps at 76 Hunter to gather bait. Then bait Stymphike trees and spear descending birds at 82 Hunter for larger Hunter XP bursts.

Stymphikes drop 15 feathers each (buffed from 5 in the July 8 patch). Feathers can be handed to nearby Aranei for limited off-task Venator access — 100 feathers for up to 3 kills.

Stage 1 — Letvek (76 Hunter): Capture Letvek roaming Vampyrium with box traps to build bait stock. Main accounts can buy Letvek on the Grand Exchange to skip straight to stage 2.

Stage 2 — Stymphike (82 Hunter): Bait a Stymphike tree with Letvek, hide in a nearby bush for passive Hunter XP, then spear the bird when it lands — or remain hidden for an automatic spear attempt after a delay.

Letvek trapping is the active first stage. Stymphike spearing offers a steadier second stage — hide in bushes for small passive XP ticks while waiting for birds to investigate bait.

Connect with Venators Slayer via feather turn-ins when you want combat breaks between Hunter sessions.

Efficient trap lines yield Hunter XP in line with other level-76+ methods — typically mid 60k to low 70k per hour with lure and focused resets. AFK hunter here is limited; unlike bloodwood, traps require regular checks every minute or two. Treat Stymphike as semi-active training bridging toward higher big game content.

Feather drops accumulate for fletching supply; ironmen value Stymphike trips for self-sufficient arrow shafts paired with Seeker arrow progression.

Hunter grounds sit in Vampyrium's twisted canopy region. Use the Vampyrium map for Stymphike tree and bush locations near Letvek spawns.

At 82 Hunter, Stymphike spearing becomes the primary XP stage; Letvek trapping at 76 builds bait stock for longer sessions.
