Vampyrium Map

The Vampyrium map covers a single contiguous landmass connected to Morytania through Castle Drakan. Unlike sprawling continents, every major activity sits within roughly sixty seconds of run distance from the central hub — once you know the paths. This guide orients new visitors after The Blood Moon Rises and documents banks, skilling nodes, and boss entrances relative to the Crimson Exchange plaza.

Orientation uses compass directions from the central hub where the Vampyrium portal deposits players. Elevation changes matter: the Sanguine Estuary lies below the main plateau via a carved stair to the east, while bloodwood groves spread across the western ridge.

The Crimson Exchange forms the region's heart. Here you find a full bank, general store stock for bait and traps, and the Venator slayer master's lodge on the northern veranda. Most first-time players should set a respawn or house teleport anchor nearby after unlocking access.

A deposit box sits outside the Exchange for quick bloodwood banking without entering the main bank interface — heavily used during Woodcutting sessions. The quest-completion flag also enables fairy ring BJS (Blood Journey South) with a one-time unlock cutscene at the ring south of the Exchange.

Travel west from the Exchange across the ash bridge to reach tiered bloodwood groves. Lower groves contain shorter trees suitable for mid-90s Woodcutting; upper groves hold dense crimson bloodwood clusters where AFK and active rates peak. A shaded path loops north toward the Maggot King grotto entrance — look for corrupted roots marking the solo boss instance.

Watch for ambient elites patrolling the upper grove. They are not slayer tasks but can interrupt AFK sessions if aggression range pulls you off tile.

East stairs descend to the estuary platform where leechfin fishing spots line the blood-tinted water. Three dock segments spread NPC density so crowded worlds still have open tiles. The southern dock nearest the hunter trail connects to Stymphike hunting grounds without returning to hub height.

North of the Exchange, fenced clearings host Stymphike spawn points for box trap placement. Trap locations rotate daily on a fixed seed — competitive hunters note world-hopping patterns documented in community spreadsheets. A small hunter shop sells replacement box traps and Stymphike lure.

South ascent returns to Castle Drakan's exterior wall, linking Vampyrium skilling to quest instances. The Lord Drakan finale plays inside the castle before open region access; post-quest, this gate becomes a two-way shortcut between Morytania and Vampyrium without re-entering quest dialogue.

Port Phasmatys boat mooring appears on the far eastern coast for alternate entry. Useful when carrying full inventories of bloodwood logs from western groves toward mainland banks if you lack ring or POH access.
